Dr. N. Arun Kumar, Senior Consultant Surgeon at Abhaya, has over 26 years of experience in Laparoscopic and General Surgery. He holds an MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, a DNB in General Surgery, an FRCS from Glasgow, UK, and a Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery from AMASI, GEM Hospital, Coimbatore. With extensive expertise in minimally invasive procedures, he routinely performs laparoscopic surgeries for gallbladder stones, appendicitis, and hernias, along with laser treatments for hemorrhoids, fistulas, and other proctological conditions. A dedicated mentor, he has guided numerous postgraduate students and served as a City Appraiser and Examiner for the National Board of Examinations, evaluating DNB programs in General Surgery. He has received prestigious awards, including the Millennium Gold Medal Award and the Travelling Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery by the Surgical Society of Bangalore. He is also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgeons of India.
