Vindhya Rai has done her Masters in Psychology from St. Agnes college, Mangalore and thereafter completed her M.Phil in clinical psychology from the esteemed National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. 
She has been involved in active research, training and supervisory roles in psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic and psycho diagnostic assessments in the department of adult, child, geriatric psychiatry, de- addiction and neuropsychology. Additionally she has been trained in Trauma informed care by Dr janina Fisher( CCTP level 1 & 2)
She practices trauma informed approach and has expertise in CBT, DBT, ACT, schema therapy, narrative therapy, couple and family therapy.
Additionally, she has worked as a lecturer in St. Agnes college, Mangalore, actively training postgraduates and has worked as clinical psychologist in Lion's school, Suratkal, with experience in the clinical issues of special children.
 
Her areas of interest include, trauma, complex PTSD, trauma informed psychotherapeutic approaches, personality disorders, Psychodynamic therapy, Existential and humanistic approaches.
She is also actively involved in community mental health awareness through writing articles on newspapers and awareness talks.
